Aarin + Painting

/2022

Aarin explores the intersection of dance and painting through four shapes arranged in an imperfect circle, reinterpreting the harmony of the Japanese enso. By fusing movement and acrylic, the artist creates a paintformance where the body becomes both gesture and material.

Meaning “center” in Yoruba, Aarin examines centrality as both a physical and inner experience. Every mark, every movement on the surface reflects a pursuit that is at once intimate and universal, inviting the viewer to reconnect with their own center.
