In Los Angeles, a megacity where rapid urbanization, social challenges, and the search for sustainability converge, a gathering initiated by Villa Albertine and the Consulate General of France examines the pressing issues shaping contemporary cities. It is within this context that the artist develops a new performance.

Beyond the Lines explores what lies beneath appearances and social masks, revealing a more sensitive, embodied truth. Inspired by Laure Murat’s essay « Ceci n’est pas une ville » This Is Not a City, the work reimagines the language of movement. Drawing on contact dance, Cuban rhythms, and the vertical presence of Los Angeles palm trees, the performance becomes a space of encounter—a bridge between bodies, hearts, and territories.
